The Church Is Missing In Action

Paul writes in Romans 1:18-32:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

The church has failed us – this nation, this world, and us as a people. Yes, this is a bold statement to make – and it’s not made lightly.

New York legalized the killing of unborn children up to the time of birth.

Homosexuality is rampant. Transgenderism is being taught to our kids in schools as normal. A ten-year-old boy – who thinks he’s a girl – is being permitted by his parents to dance in tranny night clubs and pose with naked men! Trannies are reading to our kids in libraries for story time – about transgender topics – and it’s totally normal.

Men are marrying men, women are marrying women – and these “marriages” are being  officiated and solemnized by so-called “Christian Clergy”!

Kids are killing their parents. Parents are not parenting as they should.

Men and women, if they are “together” – are more apt to be living together instead of making the commitment of marriage. This is fornication – pure and simple! Its sin!

We, as a people are fools!

And where has the church been during all of this? Missing In Action!

Most of the churches are too busy with their building funds and projects, or other programs that have nothing to do with evangelism.  Evangelism has gotten short shrift in terms of church activity.

Where have the pastors been in denouncing this garbage – forcefully – with hellfire and brimstone! They too have been Missing in Action.

The televangelists have been so busy fleecing the flock to buy their toys – their 60-million  dollar jets, their multi-million dollar mansions, instead of denouncing the SIN PROBLEM in this nation, and the world.

We have congresspeople and presidential candidates who claim to be “Christian” who have no trouble with this sin!

Nancy Pelosi – who calls herself a Christian – knows nothing of being one! If she read her Bible, she would know that walls do work – and that God calls for borders, boundries and legal immigration.

Chuck Schumer is Jewish, and if he was at all observant, he too, would know that what Nehemiah did, was the same thing that out president wants to do now. He’s not observant – he’s a Jew in name only. It’s funny – he’s from New York, and he tweeted that his granddaughter turned two years old. At least she made it to see her birth.

Hilary Clinton says she wants to be a Methodist Pastor – would she ever call out this sin? Never! To her, it’s OK for men to marry – and sleep with – other men,. and for women to marry – and sleep with – other women. To her, it’s OK for women to kill their unborn children at any time during the pregnancy. None of this is scriptural – and would make her absolutely unfit for the ministry.

What we have today is nothing more than a spiritual war between good and evil.

Look at what Paul write in the first chapter of Romans above! Can you draw the parallels? I certainly can!

Ever since the Lyndon Johnson pro-posed the Johnson Amendment – creating the tax-exempt corporation (the tax-exempt church), pastors have been silenced lest they lose this valuable asset.

I look at this as nothing more than legalized “church registration” – akin to what China does – but in an underhanded way. The government gives a benefit, but it also requires a “quid-pro-quo” – something in exchange – their silence.

Oh, yeah, some pastors will dance around sin topics – addressing them lightly. When was the last time you heard a fire-and-brimstone sermon from the pulpit denouncing the sin in this nation – the sin that’s approved of by our politicians?

Not in the last thirty to fifty years, I’m sure.

Ask Joel Osteen his view on this sin, he’ll dance around it, lest he lose that twelve-million dollar haul each and every weekend. Same goes for every other prosperity-preacher out there.

Ask your pastor what he thinks! When has he done a hellfire and brimstone sermon on this sin? He probably never has, and never will – for fear of offending anyone.

Is there a couple in your church living together – not married? The pastor and elders should be all over that like bees to honey! That’s Satan getting a foothold in the church.

God is getting ready for judgement. Why He’s held His hand back this far is only because He’s long-suffering. This will not last forever though.

It’s time for His people to repent, to start reading their Bibles and get into reverent prayer.

It’s time for the Pastors to start taking their proper roles and stop trying to be politically correct – and offend those who are sinning.  Call out the sin, while loving the sinner!

Make people squirm in their seats and in the pews!

If we don’t run back to God now – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – and find Jesus as savior – we are definitely not promised tomorrow.
