But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6 KJV
I don’t care your political affiliation. I don’t care if you’re black, white, yellow, red, or purple with pink polka dots. I don’t care if you’re straight or gay. I don’t care if you’re a man or a woman…
IF YOU THINK THE TAKING OF AN INNOCENT LIFE THROUGH INTENTIONAL KILLING IS ACCEPTABLE, YOU NEED TO REALLY LOOK AT YOUR CONSCIENCE!
I yell this because I know that if I’m affected in this way – mourning for the senseless loss of life – then God must really be offended.
The sixth commandment is, translated directly from the Hebrew is shown here – in Hebrew, we say lo teer-TZAK which literally means Not – shall you murder. Hebrew syntax uses the negative before the action, to denote that you shouldn’t do perform the action.
Note also that the commandment isn’t “Thou shall not kill” – it’s “don’t murder” – there’s a difference!
God allows for some killing – for example, in a justifiable war, or for self defense. If someone were to break into my home with intent on harming my family, I would be totally justified to use my 9mm Glock and send this person to meet his or her maker. Likewise, if I’m delivering a sermon in a church, and someone comes in intent on murdering those attending, I would, as the shepherd of the flock, be justified in taking that person out and killing them. That’ not murder. (See my article here on God’s view on Self Defense and Firearms)
The biblical definition of murder is different that Miriam Webster’s. The biblical definition is the intentional taking of a life without justification or with malice. Miriam Webster’s adds the word unlawful – hence, the rub.
Man says that it’s okay to kill a fetus in the womb, because it’s not a person – it’s merely a clump of cells, or it’s not viable – (unable to live outside of the womb). The law hasn’t caught up with the fact that at conception, that life became a separate and distinct life.
It’s not a woman’s right to choose – it’s not her body – it’s the body of another living human being – a person. She – or her doctor – should not have the right to take that life without justification.
Over 60,000,000 lives have been taken since the United States made abortion legal. The argument was to make it “Safe but Rare”…. Well, it may be safer than it was, but it’s certainly not rare.
Over 97% of all abortions performed, were due to what I call “the oops factor” …
- Oops, I forgot to take my birth control pill
- Oops, we got too passionate, too fast
In other words, men and women couldn’t control themselves.
Actions – have consequences – and abortion should never be the cure for those consequences.
What about rape? Only 6/10 of 1% (0.6%) of all abortions, are due to rape. The life of the mother? 2.8%. I’m sorry – there’s no excuse for abortion on demand as we have in the United States.
Where do I get my statistics? See this site (The Alan Guttmacher Institute studies), where you can see them broken down quite nicely.
And I truly believe that God will have His judgment on those states that continue to allow the wholesale slaughter of our children – the mass sacrifice to Molech – for the sake of convenience.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘Whoever of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who [a]dwell in Israel, who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. I will set My face against that man, and will [b]cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. And if the people of the land should in any way [c]hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech.
(Leviticus 20:1-5 NKJV)
God will judge – and now we have states that are legalizing the killing of children up to – and in some case – immediately after birth? God’s going to have His way. You see the penalties laid out in the Bible in Leviticus above.
Do you think that New York, Illinois and California are having fiscal problems, because they’re inept? Do you think that weather conditions in Washington state – and fires in California – are a product of so-called climate change?
No – God’s trying to get the attention of people – and get them to repent!
And unless they do so, and soon – judgment will be coming – and it won’t be pretty.
