Imagine, your best friend – who’s been trying to get you to church and bending your ear about Jesus, and getting saved – suddenly stops posting on social media. Imagine that they’ve stopped calling and texting you. Imagine that they’re no longer home when you go over.
That time, my friend, is not far off.
There will come a time, when all of the warnings you’ve been hearing from your Christian friends – will be too late for you to act upon.
One day, utter chaos will ensue:
- Cars will collide, unoccupied
- Trains and buses will crash, some without engineers and conductors, and drivers
- Planes will come falling out of the sky, without pilots
- Your friends – disappear, in an instant
What is going on?
Friend, you’ve been left behind.
I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:50-57)
That’s the Apostle Paul teaching the people in the church at Corinth – exactly what will happen at the time of the Rapture of the Church.
In 11/100 of a second, about the time it takes to blink your eye, every saved believer – from the Old Testament saints, to the time of the rapture, will be raised up to be with the Lord in the air. How do we know this? Paul gives more detail to us here:
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
At the time of the rapture of the church, all true believers who have died, will have their bodies resurrected from their graves – and those who are still alive will disappear and be resurrected immediately thereafter.
And it will happen in the blink of an eye.
What happens to the body? It is transformed into a glorified body – one that can never get sick, and cannot die. If you’re suffering like I am – I have advanced Parkinson’s Disease – it will be gone. No more sickness, no more death, no more crying, no more pain.
If you are a believer, you will be gone from this earth, and be spending eternity in Heaven with the Lord.
And this is where my little story started out. If you come looking for my wife and I, and find that we’re gone – and it’s been a few days, and we’ve not posted on social media for a few days – and it seems like we’ve dropped off the face of the earth – and the world is in utter chaos – don’t look for us, we’re not here.
We’ve tried to warn you – we’ve given chance after chance. word after word, about salvation – and you either laughed, or procrastinated, or thought “I go to church”, or “I’m a good person” – none of this matters.
For salvation, you need to repent of your sins, which means to confess to the Lord – not to some priest, he can do nothing for you – and repent of these sins, turn from them completely, and believe with all of your heart, that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior… then, and only then, are you’re saved.
See, just saying the sinner’s prayer, without true repentance and belief, isn’t enough! Many people say the words, then go on living in their sinful ways. If this is you, you need to repent and be truly saved.
“But I’ve never killed anyone, I’m a good person!” – Not good enough. True repentance and true belief in Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and the only guarantee that you won’t be left behind to endure the 7-year Tribulation period which follows.
A priest can’t absolve you of sin – no matter what the catechism says. The BIBLE says differently.
Buying a mass card for the dead will not get that person into Heaven – only if they truly believed in Jesus Christ as savior before they died, will they be in Heaven. You can’t buy your way into heaven. There’s nothing biblical about this.
And as for Purgatory – the “halfway house” for those not “good enough for heaven, but not bad enough got hell” – there’s nothing in the bible about that either, and I defy anyone to show me in the texts – they can’t, because it’s not there.
Oprah, and people like Joel Osteen say that there are multiple ways to heaven. Jesus says otherwise:
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6-7)
You can only get to heaven, through Jesus Christ – He said it to Thomas here – and it’s said for your benefit too.
So, tell Oprah Winfrey to “go scratch” – better yet, tell her she needs to be “really saved”.
So, if you come looking for us, and we’re not here – and haven’t been in a while – we’re probably in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. And if you’ve been left behind – you can’t say you weren’t warned.
But it’s not too late – get on your knees right now, and tell God that you’re sorry for your sin, and that you repent of this sin – that you’ll turn from it. Tell God that you believe that He gave His only Son Jesus, to die on the cross for your sin, as the final sacrifice for it, and that you believe on Jesus as your savior, then invite Jesus into your heart, to dwell there forever.
Friend, if you did that, with sincerity of heart, you won’t be looking for us, you’ll be with us.
Now – Go and tell others, before it’s too late!
