Is God Really In It?

Pick an event in your life and ask, Is or Was God really in that?

I can think of many times in my life where I can say that God wasn’t in it – and it eventually turned out to be a complete disaster. I can think of other times when God was in it – and it turned out really great.

Psalm 127 was written by the wisest man ever to live on this earth, Solomon – and in verse 1, he begins the psalm:

Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.

In other words, unless you put God in everything you do – whatever you try to do under your own power, will all be in vain – it will be for nothing. God cannot bless what He’s not included in – and He won’t. It will come tumbling down in one way or another.

That second part of verse 1 reminds me of this nation today. The United States has taken God out of pretty much everything, especially the public square. Do you honestly expect God to continue to watch over this nation, while we keep thumbing our nose at Him?

I can hear some of you now – “Follow the plan” and “He’s coming back, he’s commanding the armed services in the background” – no people – there’s only one plan, and it’s not “QAnon’s” – or Donald Trump’s, or some other plan – it’s God’s.

Solomon writes in Proverbs 19:21:

“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.”

In other words, we can have all the theories we want – we had many years where we were shown just how depraved we, as a nation were – then we had four years to get it right. We squandered the first two years, and then God gave us a warning by bringing back evil for the last two years in the House – and we squandered that!

So now, God’s now saying, “Enough! I gave you a president who tried to do what was right in My sight, and you blew it. He wasn’t perfect – and a bit brash and direct at times, but I gave you the time and the tools, and you threw me out, so now, you’re left to your own debased minds.

Paul made it clear in Romans 1:28-32:

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

God’s definitely not in the government of the United States.

In fact, I watched a video this morning on the goings on at the Davos group in Davos, Switzerland this past January – and it was so prophetic. Thanks to this so-called pandemic, we are now several more steps toward the one world government – spoken about in John in Revelation.

Some of you don’t want to hear this – but prophecy is being fulfilled before your very eyes, and many in this world don’t see it, or don’t want to see it – including many of the readers of this message.

Some of it has already come to pass:

Israel becomes a nation for the Jews in 1948, the capitol – Yerushalim (Jerusalem) is liberated in 1967, more of the land is reclaimed in the 1970’s – the Golan Heights and the West Bank, and many others.

Some are coming to pass:

The “kings of the east” – China, North Korea and Russia are allying themselves with Iran, Iran has stated its intention to attack Israel – but will need the assistance from the kings of the east , but attack they will.

Just look at current events – and you’ll see Ezekiel 38 all over them!

Zechariah, chapters 1 and 2 parallel several chapters in Revelation. The first chapter parallels Revelation 6 is striking detail.

Do you think the prophet was trying to tell us something?

Stop feeding into the theories. God will have His way, and there’s nothing we can do to stop this. Yes, we can pray for a reprieve, but I truly feel that ship has sailed. The United States, the last bastion of freedom and Judeo-Christian morality, has thrown God under the bus – and He’s not having any if it.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. (Galatians 6:7)

Many believers prayed 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 – and God isn’t holding His hand back.

I’m not afraid at all – If the rapture happens today, I’m ready to go – I don’t even think about it anymore. It’s a win-win for believers! We win!

There’s absolutely nothing to fret over. Whatever happens after that, we won’t be here to deal with it – we win! We’re with Jesus forever – and isn’t that the endgame that we all are aiming for?

And if it doesn’t happen, and we have to endure some of this persecution – then I know that God will protect His children. I’m just not fretting over it – because even if I have to be imprisoned over preaching the truth of the Gospel, I’m ready for that too – just like the apostle Paul.

If it costs me my life, Revelation 6:11 addresses that:

Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

Yes, pray that those close to you are saved, and do whatever you can to evangelize like there’s no tomorrow – because there may not be.

God tells us to be on the lookout for the signs – Matthew 24, starting in verse 3, tells you all about it. Yes, we don’t know when – the date and time, but we have clues all throughout scripture, and if you’re in the Word – reading it, meditating on it, and it’s in you, you know that what I’m saying is accurate. I will not, and do not, claim the gift of prophecy – but I am a student of it – and church, pick your metaphor: we’re at the door, it’s 11:58 PM, whatever – I truly believe that God’s going to bring His children home in this generation.

So, all I have to say is get into your Bible, and ask the Lord to show you the way. and He will. Talk to those you know about the Lord – yes, even those who don’t want to hear it – pray for them, for salvation, and the words you can use to plant the seeds. God knows what buttons to push and it may not be pretty, but God needs to get their attention – and some of us weren’t “easy births” – some of us needed to be smacked around a bit to get out attention.

Whenever you get that divine appointment – use it to evangelize, again, like there’s no tomorrow, because God never promised us one.

  1. I especially like what you wrote about persecution, and I love your fearlessness! As it turns out, persecution is going to be the topic of my next post, Lord willing.
