After reading and watching the treatment of Canadian Polish Pastor, Artur Pawlowski, of the government thugs who marched into not one, but two church services, he was finally arrested for holding church services with more than ten worshippers – the limit, no matter the size of the building.
This happened north of of our border, in Alberta, Canada.
If this can happen there, it will happen here. Hey, they tried it in California, Oregon and Washington, and because a constitutionalist caught the case in the Ninth Circuit, sanity was restored – for now.
Then I see this ridiculous tweet by Joe Biden:
I then thought of Psalm 144, specifically verses 11 through the end of the chapter, which David writes as follows:
Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners,
Whose mouth speaks lying words,
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood—
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;
That our daughters may be as pillars,
Sculptured in palace style;
That our barns may be full,
Supplying all kinds of produce;
That our sheep may bring forth thousands
And ten thousands in our fields;
That our oxen may be well laden;
That there be no breaking in or going out;
That there be no outcry in our streets.
Happy are the people who are in such a state;
Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!
David was speaking of non- Jewish people, I’m talking about so-leaders in government. In fact, the entire psalm is indicative of our nation today. Leaders who speak with lying tongues, and the right hand of falsehood.
The only way back to some sense of normalcy and maybe some control over this runaway spending, is a wholesale, national, corporate repentance – by not only our nation’s people, but also by it’s leaders for supporting and enacting laws and rules that it has and turning away from those sinful laws and rules by repealing them.
I put out this past week, a prayer of Daniel. It was a prayer of repentance for his people Israel. We, every Christian, every true believer, should be prostrating themselves before our Holy God, and praying like this. Substitute Israel with the United States, and Jerusalem with Washington. Those of you overseas, use your nation and capital city.
Here’s that prayer – Daniel 9: 3-19:
Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.
“O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets. Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him. And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great disaster; for under the whole heaven such has never been done as what has been done to Jerusalem.
“As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth. Therefore the Lord has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice. And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made Yourself a name, as it is this day—we have sinned, we have done wickedly!
“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
Unless this nation, its people – including some of these so-called unrepentant pastors – and the governmental leaders repent and turn from their wicked ways – the United States of America doesn’t stand a chance.
Which gets me to that tweet by that heathen Joe Biden, probably written by Kamala Harris and her staff, because we really know who’s running things in the swamp, this is indicative of what those “left behind” be facing.
Take the vaccine, or else? Or else what? You’ll need to wear your face diaper to buy, sell, transact any business or even go to school. Colleges and universities are now requiring proof of vaccination before they allow a student back into in-person learning.
It’s called “control conditioning” – if they can get you to obey and comply with their mandates, they can ratchet up the pressure – and the demands.
When do we say “No! Enough of this balderdash!”
God will have nothing to do with an evil or corrupt government. Psalm 94:20 says “Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, have fellowship with You?” The answer is No!
Matthew Henry said, “Iniquity is daring enough even when human laws are against it, which often prove too weak to give an effectual check to it; but how insolent, how mischievous, is it when it is backed by a law! Iniquity is not the better, but much the worse, for being enacted by law; nor will it excuse those that practice it to say that they did but do as they were bidden.”
And we just say that we were just “obeying the law” or “just following orders.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
That gets us to Romans 13, the favorite scripture used by the “follow the law” and “just following orders” crowd.
Romans 13 was written for times when there was good and godly government in place. Let’s look at the text in detail, shall we? (Verse numbers are kept for reference.)
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
The keys to this are not verses 1 and 2, but actually verses 3 and 4. “Rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.” Terror is inherently evil, and not good. A leader who endorses evil, is a terrorist. To endorse a leader who allows for the murder of the unborn is a terrorist to the unborn and allow for the genocide of generations of children. If we do what is good these days, we aren’t praised, we’re “cancelled” or persecuted in some other way. In verse 4, leaders are described as God’s “minister” to you. Would God’s minister do what is evil in His sight? I think not!
This, in itself, negates Romans 13 as a defense to follow this evil and corrupt administration.
When Peter reached this point of decision, in Acts 4 and 5…
So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:18-29)
And again, in Acts 5:29, Peter and the other apostles answered and said, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
We’re at a point where a decision needs to be made. Do we follow Jesus, or do we follow man? You can’t do both – they are diametrically opposed to each other.
Your answer determines whether you are “left behind” and where you will spend eternity.
Make your choice. Make it now.
