More On Morality…

Last week, we discussed whose job was it to teach our kids about morality. It centered on sexual sin and morality. This week, we’re going to focus on other areas of morality.

To do that, let’s look at a few verses from Proverbs chapter 6. This passage should be quite familiar to most of you.

These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19 NKJV)

To those of you who think that God is love all the time, think again. Sexual sin is an abomination to Him (see Leviticus 18:22, Deuteronomy 22:5, for example). Here, in Proverbs, Solomon gives another list.

I was reading how the US Soccer team lost to Sweden in the Olympics in Tokyo – a game they should have easily won. This team was so “proud” of their wokeness, their homosexuality, their kneeling for the national anthem, their pride earned them their loss.

Pride is first in the list – it’s self idolization, and God will not have anything above Him. It’s right up there at the beginning of the ten commandments. It’s that important. God had to knock them down a bunch of pegs, and they fully and richly deserved it.

A lying tongue is next on the list. God hates lying so much.

I just read an article in the Epoch Times about students in a Minnesota school, who were told by a teacher that they were not permitted to show their parents an assignment. The assignment was a survey on topics of sexual identity and critical race theory. You can see why the school wanted it kept from parents.

This is teaching kids to lie to their parents! It bothered one student so much that they defied the order – kids need open and honest communication with their parents.

The school must never get in between parents and children, unless there is verifiable abuse going on. In this case, it was the school, that was doing the abusing, and the teacher should be terminated.

Yeah, like that’s gonna happen.

What’s next? Hands that shed innocent blood.

Mississippi just filed with the Supreme Court to have the landmark case, Roe v. Wade, which made abortion legal in this nation, overturned.

If there wasn’t anything that violated this – it’s abortion. Now that’s the shedding of innocent blood!

It came out today that the archbishop of Nancy Pelosi’s archdiocese in San Francisco, said that if one is pro-abortion, then they cannot be a “good catholic”. I’ll take it one step further, you can’t be a good Christian.

While I agree with his public statement, I’d like him to back that up with concrete action. Start excommunication proceedings – at the very least, deny her holy communion. It would be a very positive public rebuke, and make her sit up and take notice, or make her stop calling herself a “good catholic”.

Same goes for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They call themselves “good catholics” yet they support the shedding of innocent blood. They all need salvation – I can’t see that any of them are truly saved, there’s no way.

A heart that devises wicked plans – just look around. I think the Clintons have a lock on this one today. Everything, and I mean everything, they came up with, from their time in Arkansas, to their time in the White House, and through the 2016 election and beyond, was one evil plot after another.

They’re just but one example, there are others, to be sure, but they are the most visible and most outlandish.

I’m sorry. But I’d be hard pressed to believe that any of these people are indeed truly saved. They can quote scripture until they’re blue in the face – even Satan knows scripture.

In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

A lot of politicians – and pastors, claim to be followers of Christ. But they’re not. They pay Jesus lip service to get the fundamentalist and evangelical vote, or bigger offerings in the plate.

Many televangelists fall into this category – not all, mind you – but many do, which hurts those that really are trying to spread the gospel and do the work of Christ.

If you look at the list in Proverbs 6, the pattern follows the Ten Commandments , from idol worship, through murder, and so forth.

Look at the list again, and you see everything going on today in that list, and do you really think that God’s not just a tad pissed off? I thank God every morning that He’s God and not me, because this world would be a wasteland if I was. I thank Him for being long suffering.

But Romans chapter 1 talks about a time when God will turn His back on us – and all will go to hell in a hand basket.

Revelation doesn’t explicitly talk about one world currency, but it does prophecy a world dictator – the Antichrist – where if one doesn’t take his mark, they can’t buy or sell – transact business. I truly believe that infrastructure exists today to be able to run such a world currency.

Bitcoin, although I don’t believe it’s the currency, runs on a platform that could very well be the infrastructure for this digital currency.

There’s talk about a currency with a universal card that will match local currency to the universal one, complete with “redemption centers.” Some even think that they’re going to be quite rich, after the so-called “elite” are arrested and their wealth confiscated, and redistributed to the public.

This is a distraction from biblical prophecy, and a load of bovine excrement. Remember, “redistributed “ is a liberal philosophy, not a conservative one. If wealth is confiscated, the government will keep it for themselves, after all, this is the socialist/communist way, and that’s just what liberals want, right?

I’m sorry, but this is just one more in the prophetic model of Revelation and Daniel, that we’re on the cusp of the last days, and the rapture of the church is nearer than one thinks.

That should be viewed as a win for us as believers, not a fear.

Sure, we may have to live through some of it before we’re taken out of here, but let’s keep an eye on the ball – evangelism. That’s our only job here. If you’re not calling out the hypocrites violating God’s Word, if you’re not showing others the gospel, then you’re not doing your one and only job here.

God is a God of love and forgiveness, but He’s also a jealous and holy God who will not see His holy name trod upon. That’s why He gives His Word, to teach us the difference.

Someone told me today that the pulpit shouldn’t be used to tell people who to vote for. While I agree that the pulpit should never be used to endorse a particular candidate, it must be used to show where sin exists in an election, in government, and the church. If that hurts a candidate, an elected official or a pastor, we’ll that’s just too bad – as they say, “if the shoe fits…”

There’s a state representative here in Pennsylvania, and he happens to be my state representative. He’s also a church pastor. I’ve called this hypocrite out so many times it’s not even funny. Yeah, he’s a liberal, and will not fight against abortion.

Don’t get me started 😡😡😡 (ok, Joe – be angry but don’t sin)

The church has failed America and the world, by not more forcibly standing up for moral values early on. Now, we have same sex marriage, cohabitation without the benefit of marriage, abortion on demand, transgenderism, pedophilia and other perverse sin being “normal” where fifty years ago, most of this wasn’t even thought of.

If the church didn’t put its collective heads in the sand back in the 60s and 70s, and hope that would all go away, and instead, stood up and pushed back, we would probably be in better shape today.

But no…the church has split into liberal denominations ordaining women, homosexuals and I’m sure, transgender clergy, and conservative denominations which have held to God’s Word to one degree or another.

Wow, another prophecy coming to pass – the church sorting down into the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3.

This is a call to arms church- get to work, do your jobs. Start planting seeds and get ready for a harvest of souls. That’s our job, and we had better start doing it.

We need to turn heads heavenward and away from the distractions of this world.

If we don’t start soul winning, we’re being derelict in our responsibilities as believers and soldiers for Christ.
