Protecting the Church – Part 2

I truly believe that the Left have. all gone completely “off their rockers.” They all need a prescription for some very strong anti-depressant or something.

It got me thinking though – this has been building for some time. It’s been getting this way for at least the last 15-20 years, and has been getting a lot worse under President Obama. Some call him the “Divider-In-Chief” – a title, I believe is well deserved.

I think back in my own past. One such incident, back in 2009, when my son, “came out” as gay. Here I am, a worker in the church, what am I supposed to say? I don’t believe that God makes mistakes – and that although I love my son, I cannot support or celebrate his “choice” – and that’s what homosexuality is, a lifestyle choice.

For that folks, I was ridiculed and trashed – by those  I loved and cared about. My own sisters, both of whom profess to be “Christians” – one of whom is married to a “youth pastor” – all of whom have no problem spouting scripture when then it suits them – told me that I was wrong – absolutely wrong, and labelled me a hypocrite. They celebrate his choice!

I’m sorry, but God does not celebrate his choice.  It is they, who are hypocrites, not me. My son needs salvation, and they should be letting him know that although they love him, God hates sin, and God doesn’t make mistakes when it comes to how his creations behave and his behavior is sinful. I tried to tell him this, and lost his love. I guess they’re afraid to lose his love.

They’re the hypocrites.  They, and many others, including a boatload of pastors will have to answer for allowing this sin to permeate their churches.

Hey, I was no saint – I had my own problems back then. I was on some powerful medication for Parkinson’s Disease that worked on the brain, and had some side-effects that caused one to do impulsive things – things that I’m not proud of – things that I’ve repented of, and am forgiven for – and that’s the thing, repentance.

There’s no repentance for sin today. We excuse it, we celebrate it, we “look the other way” – and when someone calls out the sin – they’re vilified and labelled some kind of “phobe”.

It definitely increased under President Obama. From race, to religion, to “gender identity” and sexuality – this man did more to ruin America and the “west” in general, than any other leader.

God made you male or female. He doesn’t make mistakes. I’m so tired of Christians being your whipping boy.

And to you pastors and churches who put up with this, and admit homosexuals to church membership, and allow them to serve  in the church – in the words of Christ, “You Hypocrites!”

We don’t permit those who openly sin, or live in a sinful lifestyle to serve in the church, because that let Satan into the church.

For this, you will answer for defiling Christ’s church. Yes, we invite them to attend and to learn – in hopes that they will repent and accept salvation – we do not offer them status within the church by offering them membership or allowing them to serve – not even as an usher!

We’re all sinners, of course and this doesn’t mean that none of us can have membership or serve in the church. What I’m referring to is the unregenerate or backslidden.

The unregenerate, or unsaved, must only be permitted to attend and learn, with the goal of true salvation and discipleship. After proper discipleship, then membership, then possibly service in the church.

The backslidden need to be brought back into fellowship and as such, need discipleship and counseling before being permitted to serve. Call it a vetting period, giving those a period to show their sincerity to the faith.

If you put up with this sin or not properly vet those wanting to serve – God help you when it comes to the judgment. God made it clear when He told John to write under inspiration to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3.

In Revelation 2, to the church at Thyatira, God said,

“I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am He who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.” (Revelation 2:19-23)

So, am I the hypocrite? I think not! For we are to give up everything to follow Christ, even our own families if necessary…

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:23-27)

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” (Matthew 10:34-39)

Those were the words of Jesus, our Messiah. If you profess to be a believer, have ears to hear. You’re a bigot when it comes to homosexuality.

Yes, love the sinner, as I love my son – but hate the sin, and call it out for what it is – sin. Sin that must be repented, and an opening for a salvation message. If they accept it, fantastic, and if not, then continue to pray for them, but don’t celebrate their sin.
