It’s Not Republican vs Democrat – It’s Good vs Evil

It seems that you turn on the news lately – you hear how one side, thinks the other side is evil. Republicans telling us on Fox News that Democrats are demons, and Democrats on CNN and MSNBC telling us how corrupt and evil Republicans are.

In fact, both parties have had their evildoers. Jack Kennedy had his sex scandals, Lyndon Johnson was a bigot and a racist; Nixon looked the other way when it came to spying on the DNC, Carter was inept and got us into an energy crisis – the likes of which destroyed our energy sector – and did the bidding of his handlers, Reagan did many great things, but used the power of the presidency to skirt the law and get weapons to Iran and fund the Nicaraguan Rebels in an unauthorized war. Clinton has had numerous scandals – too many to mention here, Bush 43 spent like a drunken sailor, Obama divided this nation to the point that it could explode, and Trump, well – I’m sure there’s something there too, I just haven’t found it yet. Yeah, he’s bombastic, that’s what I like about him – he takes no crap – from anyone.

On the other hand, Jack Kennedy did avert a war with Russia, Lyndon Johnson succumbed, and signed the Civil Rights Act, passed with a majority of Republican support, Nixon started thawing the cold war with Russia and China – and ended the war with Vietnam, Carter – well, I can’t find anything good that came from his presidency except that he gave us Ronald Reagan, who started one of the best economic recoveries of the time. Bush 41 was uneventful in terms of anything good or bad. Clinton did do some good in terms of economic recovery – jobs were booming, Bush 43 looked at the terrorist enemy in the eyes and took decisive action. Obama – well, if you want to call giving away the store and doubling our debt to pay for it – all while placating our enemy Iran while he was at it a good thing – well, go for it. I don’t put it in that category.

As you can see, we’ve had Democrat and Republican administrations – and both have had their evil, and maybe some good.

In Psalm 14:2-4, King David writes:

The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God.

They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.

Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers
who eat up my people as they eat bread
and do not call upon the Lord?.

Paul cites this psalm in Romans 3:9-12 – There is none righteous, not one. No matter what we think of a president, a congressperson, a justice on the supreme court – there is no one that’s righteous, not one.

Biden named his Vice Presidential nominee today – Kamala Harris. Now, one can claim that she slept her way to the top (she did, to get into San Francisco politics – ask former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown), and that she’s the exact opposite of Joe Biden when it comes to defunding law enforcement – as when she was District Attorney in California, she put more people in prison for minor infractions, than anyone else.

Yeah – there’s no one righteous, not even one.

Our own president has admitted to his own moral failures with past marriages.

I’m sure we can go into the past of every last person on this planet, and find something unrighteous and sinful about them. We’ve all fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23).

How did we get to where we are today? How did we get to the point where we turn a blind eye to child sex trafficking – you don’t see it being reported, but it’s going on all around us, to presenting rioting and looting of business is being allowable and peaceful protest on the news?

Have we all become numb?

OK, I have Parkinson’s Disease – a blank look on my face and lack of outward affect comes with the territory – but inside, I’m boiling mad.

A Little (And Short) History

Until the First World War, the driving force in this nation was patriotism and the Judeo-Christian values. We believed in faith, family, law and order, and the strength of our nation.

By 1954, we were so religious, that “under God” was added to our Pledge of Allegiance, which was recited daily in our schools.

Then things started falling apart.

In 1962, the Supreme Court ruled that School Prayer was unconstitutional, and by the late 1960’s, demonstrations against the United States by baby boomers – usually against our military and the war in Vietnam.

In the 1970’s, and into the 1980’s and 1990’s, liberalism and globalism was starting to be taught in colleges and universities. Global government, global business – all of this was a Utopian society.

Throughout this time, the Bible, God. Jesus and all facets of Christianity and Judaism have been taken out of the town square, public discourse and public schools, but all facets of Islam have been permitted to remain.  Prayer rugs and rooms in schools are permitted, but God forbid a Christian Bible Study were to be formed by Students – that’s forbidden!

We have spoiled brat kids that were never disciplined, given participation trophies – and don’t know what it’s like to lose. It’s no wonder we have the next generation growing up to be worse than we are.

Here We Are Today

Well, here we are, the baby boomer generation, for the most part, has destroyed the fabric of a nation that was once great. Yes, there are exceptions to every statement, this is a generalization.

Dennis Prager – my Jewish brother from a different mother – and a man whose views I respect, put it this way in an opinion piece for TownHall,com:

The way things now look, America may have its bout with some totalitarian doctrine — almost surely some form of leftism. Liberty has never been a left-wing value. From Lenin on, wherever the left has come to power, it has suppressed liberty, beginning with free speech. Already, despite a Republican president and a Republican Senate, America has less free speech than at any time in its history. (“Why America Is In Real Danger” by Dennis Prager, townhall.com, 8/11/2020)

He goes on to cite Christianity – not Judaism, not Islam, but Christianity, as the glue that held this nation together.

I say that it was God’s hand – which was on this nation for almost two centuries. Then we, as a nation, abandoned God. He tried to get us back, but we, as a nation, continued to turn our back on Him.

God, being the gentleman that He is, will not force us to love Him, but neither will he bless those who turn their backs on Him.

We pray the words of 2 Chronicles 7:14, like it’s some magic prayer – No! God’s not going to heal this land, until we – as a nation – repent! Is this nation repenting? No! It’s rebelling all the more – just like a spoiled brat kid who doesn’t get his own way – this nation is that spoiled brat kid.

Where Are You?

People, if we look at a clock, we’re 30 seconds before midnight – the Rapture’s right around the corner.

God’s not going to put up with much more of this – He’s fixin’ to bring His children Home, and let the Tribulation begin!

Are you one of His children? You want to be – because you don’t want to be left behind to take the Mark of the Beast. Without that. you cannot buy, sell, or transact any business. Could that mean you need a “proof of a COVID vaccine?” – a chip implanted when you receive a vaccine?

Who knows? All I know is that we, in our household, have never been afraid of catching COVID-19, because we rely on the shelter of the Most High God to protect us. Psalm 91:1-2 says:

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Don’t get me wrong, we do take precautions – God does give us common sense, and we use it. If there was an outbreak of the flu – we would do the same thing, but we don’t go crazy like the nation is today.

In fact, our masks, that we are required to have to enter a store, have “Liberalism, find a cure” printed on them (thank you Mark Dice) – we might as well make a statement if we have to wear these things. We don’t wear them out of doors – and we won’t.

Some states are mandating that churches close, but are keeping liquor stores and abortion clinics open – another governmental attack on God.

This virus is very real – and a very real warning from God of what He’s about to put the world through.  The masks are a picture of the Mark of the Beast – you cannot buy, sell or transact business without them. The vaccine is on its way – and there are people advocating a “Digital Vaccine Certificate” – you either have it, or you can’t return to work.

The saved can see the big picture – and if you can’t see prophecy coming to pass all around you, you’re blinded, and you should really question whether you know your Bible at all.

People, find Christ today. Repent of your sins. Accept Him into your heart. Get on your knees and humble yourself before a Holy God, before it’s too late. I truly believe that it may be too late for this nation, but it’s not too late for you.
